During his time at Western University, Ryan developed a passion for advocacy and participated in several moot court competitions to sharpen his litigation skills. Ryan participated in seven moots in his first two years at Western Law. Ryan’s performance at the Lerners LLP cup in 2016 earned him a spot on Western Law’s Wilson Moot team in 2017. The Wilson Moot is an external appellate advocacy competition focusing on constitutional law.
Ryan also spent his second and third year at Western Law volunteering with Community Legal Services. Community Legal Services is a legal clinic that operates out of Western Law and serves the London community on a needs basis. During his time at the clinic, Ryan took great pride in developing strong relationships with his clients. Ryan had an opportunity to advocate for his clients in Small Claims Court, Criminal Court, the Landlord Tenant Board and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.
Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys theater, film, reading, participating in sports and spending time with family and friends.
